Gwen brings a passion to serve and help others improve their quality of life to the staff here at Excel Physical Therapy. She graduated from the College of Central Florida in 2007 and has been working in outpatient physical therapy clinics for over eight years. Her specialty certifications include LSVT BIG for clients with Parkinson’s Disease and RPSF-CA (Runyan problem Solving framework-Certified Assistant) in NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment). She is one of the first PTA’s in the country to receive the RPSF-CA certification! Gwen is also a member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) and SCAPTA (South Carolina Chapter).
A licensed physical therapist assistant and APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) member, Jim is a 2015 graduate of the MTC PTA program. Jim brings student clinical experience with in-patient geriatrics and acute care, as well as experience from a clinical rotation here at Excel.
Jim and his new wife, Courtney, are New Hampshire natives that have made the Palmetto State their home since 2012. When not working at Excel, Jim enjoys getting outdoors and into fresh air up in the mountains, golfing and disc golfing.
Heather Brickman Reeves, MSPT, has practiced in outpatient orthopaedics for the past 10 years in South Carolina and her emphasis has been primarily on pre- and post-operative care of patients with various knee and shoulder injuries as well as ankle, hip, and neck and back impairments.
During her career she has had the great opportunity of being mentored by some of the best PTs in the field both clinically and in the educational arena. This has enabled her transition to being an independent small business owner and continuing to do what she loves–treating patients.
